If you are using Google Chrome:
Click on the icon with the 3 horizontal stripes (on the upper right hand side of the browser, next to the printer icon), and then select "new incognito window". Pages you view in this window won't appear in your browser history or search history, and they won't leave other traces, like cookies, on your computer after you close all open incognito windows.
However, any files you download or bookmarks you create will be preserved.
If you are using Internet Explorer:
Click on the cog icon (on the upper right hand side of the browser, next to the star icon), and then select "safety" and then "in private browsing". In private browsing helps prevent Internet Explorer from storing data about your browsing session. This includes cookies, temporary Internet files, history, and other data. Toolbars and extensions are disabled by default.
However, any files you download or bookmarks you create will be preserved.
